About Patricia Jackson Napanangka and Design Inspiration

Patricia Jackson Napanangka was born in Kintore, Northern Territory, in 1983. She is a young Pintupi woman from an artistic family, the granddaughter of Walangkura Jackson Napanangka, a well-known Papunya Tula artist. Her painting career began when she helped her grandma Walangkura with background dotting on paintings. 

She paints classic stories from her culture in a contemporary and lively manner of bold linear lines, circles, and fine dot work as an emerging artist. Her paintings are dramatic, expressive images that often include vibrant colour combinations.
