About Karen Bird
Born in 1984 Karen is a young and aspiring female artist whose artworks are highly sought after. A descendant of the world-famous Utopian artist family and a significant Aboriginal Artist. Her father was a senior elder for Ilkawerne country and a well-established Utopian Artist (Lindsay Bird).
Karen’s artworks have featured in exhibitions across Australia and in the USA.
Design Inspiration
Karen’s designs are well-known to depict Dreamtime stories that include, ‘Awelye’ (Women’s ceremony and Body Paint Designs) as well as ‘Alpar’(rat-tail plant) and ‘Bush Tucker'. Her paintings display brilliant and bright colours and designs that capture important features of her homeland.
